Staff Tip Sheet

Keep this page handy during busy hours for quick reminders on intake, scanning, pricing, and common troubleshooting.

Quick Start

  1. From the Home page, choose New Intake for a fresh tag, or Scan to update an existing job.
  2. Always verify Tag #, Customer Name, and Phone before saving.
  3. Use Search if the barcode is damaged or missing; you can search by name, tag, or confirmation #.
  4. Set the correct Process Type first - it drives pricing and downstream steps.
  5. Hit Save even if you only changed status - it logs the update.

Caping and any optional partner workflows can have their own sub-statuses; update those when relevant.

Scanning Tips

  • Use the Scan page for the fastest status updates.
  • If scanning fails, type the Tag # and press Enter.
  • On shared devices, keep brightness high and lens clean for better reads.

Pricing Gotchas

  • Process Type sets the base. Changing it later will change the total preview.
  • Beef Fat adds a small fee; optional partner workflows or outside services may add separate fees.
  • Specialty Products only show if selected; make sure to fill in the pounds.

Troubleshooting

  • "Failed to fetch" on Save: Check your environment vars, staff auth setup, and network connection.
  • Search shows no rows: Try the exact name, tag, or phone last-4.
  • Ready notification did not send: Verify the status really hit Finished & Ready and that the contact details are present.
